THEORY ON ROCKLINE- MON, MAR 24
here's the synopsis that rockline has on their website for the upcoming interview/show with TOAD.

Whenever we can, we love to bring albums to you before the actual release date. This week proves to be a great example of that with a full month jump on the forthcoming Def Leppard album, coming up on our Wednesday show, and the brand new CD “Scars and Souvenirs” by Theory of a Deadman on our Monday show. We’ll have Theory’s new CD on the air for you 8 days before the official release date. The Vancouver based band is scheduled to be a part of the prestigious Juno Awards, Canada’s equivalent of the Grammy’s and the scheduling worked to our favor. Theory has been frequent guests on ROCKLINE for many years now. We saw the potential early on and have watched them grow with each successive release, but it’s been awhile since their last appearance. It was almost two years ago, March of 2006, when they last joined us. It’s been a pleasure to watch them grow musically and as people too. They have that inbred “Canadian nice” that so many artists north of our border possess, but we’ve seen their edge get sharpened musically with each successive release. But something happened between their last album “Gasoline” and this new CD “Scars and Souvenirs. The growth is exponential. This is the album that fulfills the expectations and potential and flat out delivers. This is the album that puts them in a different league. This is the jaw-dropping, “holy crap” album that we’re sure the band has always wanted to make. This is a phenomenal collection of songs and it’s our honor to dive deeply into it and let you hear for yourself.
The first emphasis track has already, justifiably, blown up at radio. It’s hard to not hear the explosive “So Happy” when you hit the on switch. The album is balanced with other heavy tracks like the first single, notably “Bad Girlfriend”, and “Got It Made” along with more thoughtful songs like “Heaven” and “Not Meant to Be”. But the mastery and maturity may be the songs that aren’t too heavy or too soft. “Scars and Souvenirs” showcases the melodies and harmonies that set Theory apart from the pack. There are thirteen songs that run the gamut and put the bands talents on full display. The playfulness (and angst) of “Little Smirk” may be the highlight of the album and ultimately the most representative song of the growth displayed on the new CD. Something inspired to Tyler, Dave and Dean between “Gasoline” and “Scars and Souvenirs”. Whether it was some bad experiences that are exorcised in this showcase of new songs, or just that it’s simply their time now, the band has taken it to a new level and it’s our pleasure to be able to bring it to you.
Get up to date at www.TheoryOfADeadman.com and on their My Space and Facebook sites, or better yet join us for the show and talk to the band yourself. It’s Theory of a Deadman and with the national radio premiere of “Scars and Souvenirs” on the next ROCKLINE!
