Hey guys, awesome show in saskatoon last night!!! Just wondering why you never play the last song at your shows anymore?? Its my favorite song of yours and i'm always a little disapointed when I don't hear it. Anyways, like I said it was an awesome show last night, we were 6th row centre, perfect. Later. |

Definitely an awesome show in Saskatoon!! I think they did play The Last Song when they were at the Odeon once a couple of years ago - but I guess they have a lot of material to cover now, which means less of the older stuff! Great show!! |

I've heard Tyler say in at least one interview that they don't play anything from the first record anymore, because the band has grown/changed. I wish I could find the right interview so I could give you the link with the actual remark . . . it was some time in summer or fall 2011. If I find it, I'll post the link. It appeared that his statement had been holding true for this tour, based on the set lists I saw for other cities. So I was thrilled beyond words when they played "Nothing Could Come Between Us" in Saskatoon, because it's my favourite. I didn't think it had a chance! Maybe you'll be the one who gets lucky next time! |

Dean said in this interview for the Regina show a few days ago that they aren't playing much from the first record anymore. Nothing Could Come Between Us was awesome in Saskatoon! They also played What You Deserve at the soundcheck, but not during the show, which was awesome for those of us lucky enough to be there! |

Found the interview. Nov 9, 2011. The pertinent comment is after 2:35. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G8g6wcA2s2A "I think our sound has evolved over time, so we don't play anything off our first record anymore, really. Which is kinda sad for some fans that kinda wish we did." |

@hollywoodbrat: Yeah, I read that interview from the Leader-Post too, and you're right that Dave commented about not playing old songs anymore. I've got it bookmarked, actually, so I'll just throw the link in, in case anyone else might read this and care. www.leaderpost.com/entertainment/Theory+Deadman+perform+Regina/6051248/story.html Lucky indeed, getting to hear "What You Deserve"! No complaints here, though: it was my first concert since my 4-year-old daughter was born (apparently I live in a babysitter void), and I couldn't have asked for a better re-initiation. A really, truly awesome concert. |
